With the Superhuman Registration Act now in effect and the New Avengers splintering, Jessica Drew finds herself under intense scrutiny from S.H.I.E.L.D., distrusted by her teammates, and still entangled with Hydra, who once restored her powers. Realizing she can no longer maintain her double life, Jessica makes a decisive break. She confronts Hydra, rejects their attempts to reclaim her, and violently severs her ties to the organization.
