How Time Forge turns uncertain durations into useful ranges.
Each activity begins with a baseline, low/high range, scope, modes, and confidence label. Editorial means a useful starting model—not an independently verified duration. Identity and edition metadata may be source-verified separately from the time estimate.
Calibration applies category-specific multipliers for play style, reading pace, playback behavior, and travel rhythm. Logged completions gradually provide stronger evidence than questionnaire assumptions. Ranges intentionally remain wider when evidence is sparse.
Approved outcomes are ordered, trimmed when samples are large enough, and summarized with a median and interquartile range. Confidence increases with usable sample count; moderation and provenance are kept separate from the public estimate.
Travel tools add human overhead to a raw duration supplied by an authoritative route provider. Time Forge does not currently choose roads or claim live traffic, closures, tolls, charging stops, weather, or route safety.
Editorial means internally modeled. Partially verified means authoritative sources support named metadata fields. Verified requires current, traceable support for the claims identified on the page. A source never silently proves fields it does not address.
